Thanksgiving

Evren thought it was so funny to wear the girls clothes.
He looks like my cousin Brandon's girl, Dixie.
I can make messes too.
 Thanksgiving with the family
 These girls....
 Karin, Patrick, and Katelyn
At least we have one kid that doesn't mind having his picture taken.

Playtime

Wearing sister's boots. He wears shoes constantly at home,
but takes them off as soon as we get in the car. Go figure.
Playing in the dirt. He touched it once and then wanted me to clean his hands.
Who does that remind you of?
It is cool when I catch them doing the same exact thing at the same exact time.
I had actually just asked them to smile for the camera.
How to frustrate your kid. He is signing please and thank you over and over,
but I know he can say it out loud.
He has no trouble with this word.

Frills

These girls are learning to be a big help.
I love it when they see how they can help by themselves.
Evren's fascination with shoes has not abated.
My dad cut his hair. It was a wrestling match.
He looks so much older.
Our neighbor makes bows and headbands. She let them pick some and they were giddy.
Where did they get the frilly/sparkle/fancy gene?
How can they look so grown up already?

He Speaks!

Maren picked this out for Halloween. It is the dress of a princess named Sofia.
She still says her favorite color is pink, but she always picks purple if she has a choice.
I got a bike, a bike trailer, and a bike seat for Evren. We can all ride together now!
They like it and I get a work out.
Cute mushroom head
 Hug your monkey

Mr Happy
Until now Evren has only said "Mama" and if I caught him saying something else he would never repeat it. Now he says "ball, up, ice, mine, nuh-uh, yours, these, is, and fries" and adds new words everyday.  "Is" is used for the question "What is it?" Daddy noted that he learned to say "fries" before he learned to say "Daddy". (He uses "Mama" for both of us)

September

Driving the car while on the phone. I wonder who he sees do that? I would never...
Evren doesn't know he is the baby.
We have one bat girl for Halloween. Maren hasn't gotten to chose her costume yet. Cue jealousy.
He was pretty stoked about his sister's hat. He points out all hats and boots.
This is Maren's rendition of :
I see the moon and the moon sees me,
Down through the leaves of the old oak tree,
Oh let the light that shines on me,
Shine on the one I love.
Over the mountains,
Over the sea,
Back where my heart is longing to be,
Oh let the light that shines on me,
Shine on the one I love.

Fall is almost here!

My little helper. His snazzy scarf is his sister's shirt. He likes to practice his dressing skills. He is usually wearing a pair of their shoes as well.
This is Maren's fake smile. She looks like she is disgusted with me for taking her picture.
Their favorite thing to do now is cut, color, paste, and stickers.
Maven looks so much like the pictures of my Mom when she was younger. It's uncanny.
Evren made up this game and his sisters thought it was great.

Playtime

Their attention span for making messes is incredibly long.
Ripping up magazines and running around in the paper all morning? Yes please.
Thankfully, the puke buckets were not needed. Evren had us on alert.
Just as obsessed with shoes as his sisters.
But also has his own ideas.

Kenny is Married!

 Kisses all around.
 Contemplating life.
Kenny got married to Salena on August 7th. As usual, I didn't get any pictures of them.
Here is my sister with Katelyn, the flower baby.
Maren and Maven were flower girls. They did really well.
I will post the photographer's pictures when I get some.
Evren's outfit was so cute. He was the ring bearer. No pictures of that either.
My cousins, Hannah and Ellen came down from MN.
Their brother Eric stood up for Kenny in the wedding.
This boy wants to be a part of anything his sister's are doing.
He is done with his crib now. He would be done with his high chair too if he had a choice.
He is into computers....I wonder who he gets that from?!
They crack each other up.
Such cute dancing.

Happy July!

Wearing their fancy princess nightgowns while reading their Fancy Nancy books.
It still blows my mind that they like fancy princess stuff.
Grandma, Grandpa, and Aubrey came to visit from Ohio!
Grandpa almost had the deer eating out of his hand.
The first thing they like to do in the morning is stack
everything in their room on their beds.
This boy likes his sister's dolls. Pretty much anything he sees them carry around or play with he thinks is important. He will give them back if they fuss though, which is nice.
Reading with Grandma. You can see he has brought his sister's
dolls to her before they started reading.
This is a rare sight. Sharing the same book! They are such good friends.
 Another day, another pile.
 Watching the deer.
Maren put on 3 shirts and 2 skirts this morning.
I can't imagine how many pieces of clothing she would put on if she could reach them all.
Evren asked me to put on his swimming suit. He is a great non verbal communicator.

Brendan is 36!

Watching Daddy put up the swimming pool. It is just the right size for them. No pictures of his birthday, but the girls made him a Magnatile cake so he didn't stray from his diet.
These legos are really stuck together
These are our other twins. They are actually triplets, but only 2 of them stay together all the time. They really like our yard.
We tried the water table inside with beans, but we can make an even bigger mess if we put it outside and fill it with water. So much fun!
