Halloween and Thanksgiving

The weather has been beautiful here.
We have been spending a lot of time outside.
Emry loves to play with rocks and sticks.
The girls made a skate ramp for their animals.
And a trampoline.
We went to a Fall Festival
Zip line!
Time to trick or treat!
Katelyn and Dylan went with us. They made out like candy bandits.
They have all learned the Tooty Ta song at school (at different times)
Such a silly dance.
I had to take a picture of Mr. Accessory. He would
rather put his lunch box in a separate bag than in his backpack.
The only thing missing in this photo is his hat.
And then it was time for Thanksgiving!
We went for a walk in Huntsville State Park with Grandma and Grandpa.
They stopped to climb every "Rainbow Tree" that had fallen down.
Emry likes to photo bomb.
Here is Maren with two photo bombers.
Evren lucked out.
Swinging on the vines.
Walking with Grandpa
Emry made the entire family out of Play Doh. Here he is telling me who is who.

Mrs. Canova Rhodes. Our favorite nonagenarian.
New haircuts
Riding through a car wash is semi alarming.
We get to visit Pop now!
It is the time of year for pumpkins!
Fun game of getting the cookie from your forehead to your mouth
without hands at a school game night.
Birthday party cupcake decoration station.
The girls couldn't eat the cupcakes, but had fun decorating them.
Emry did too.
"Can we just eat the sprinkles?"
We got to visit Cassie and her crew in Georgetown
before our one day of convention. Such a treat!
Tacky Tourist Tuesday at school. Our tourists weren't tacky.
They wore the clothes Kenny and Salena bought for them in Indonesia.
Emry's tourist outfit. Not one to be left out.

Emry is 3!

School has begun! Everyone was super excited.
Even though Emry didn't start school until 2 week after the
big kids he had his backpack lined up with theirs on their
first day of school.
Making lunches is a family affair.

We all loved this little gecko at Canova's house.
I love this picture of Canova.
Before school started, we got to see Grandpa Ron for a few days!
Goofy kids
The kids put on a play for Grandpa Ron
Emry loves the nap mat he got for school
This is his new "cheese" smile
Here it is again on his real first day of school
which was also his birthday.
Emry had a birthday party with all of my family,
but all we got were videos of it. Here is one picture of his new
board game Red Light Green Light.

Summer Vacation

We have had some busy days recently.
Always time for a good book though!
We went to Galveston with my side of the family for
a few days. We enjoyed Moody Gardens and the beach.
Emry found a cooler to hide in.
Then we met Brendan's parents and Andan in Branson MO.
 Fun at the fountains
 Fascinated by the car boat.
Almost everyone kept their mask on when required.
Emry not so much.
Emry found multiple ways to get comfortable on Andan.
  Ripley's Believe It or Not
A fun piece of art made out of bottle caps
 Kid friendly chopsticks are awesome
We went to an adventure park and had a blast climbing and tunneling.
That is Maren on the ladder.
The little kid's section at the adventure park was perfect for Emry.
 Tunneling
At Dolly Parton's Stampede Maven couldn't believe
that she was given her own chicken to eat.
A blurry picture of the Stampede.
They put on a good show with lots of different animals.
Back home to the heat, cannot stay outside unless
you are getting wet!
Inside activities are awesome this time of year.
The kids wrote a script for a play and practiced for most of a day.
Brendan and I were invited to watch it in the evening.
Maren was the ghost who wanted to eat the others, Maven and
Evren jumped over a fence over and over so the ghost would "count sheep" and fall
asleep, when Maren woke up again she had magically turned from a bad ghost to a good ghost
and they all became friends.
Entertaining to say the least.
Everyone took a bow at the end
