September and October

Grandma made a fun treasure hunt game for the grandkids.
It started with finding a number in an egg in the swimming pool.

Swinging fun
The girls made these fairy wings. They love arts and crafts.
Emry and his new haircut.
The girls working hard on their projects.
Face masks they got from a party.
Our dear Canova Rhodes.
We got to see Rebekah Murray after 20 years!
The Bungers brought her up for a visit.
The girls put on a puppet show for us about the tortoise and the hare.
Caramel apples were a hit!
Evren thoroughly enjoyed it.
They have the whole yard, but they want to be on top of each other.
Trick or treating was buckets of fun.

Summer's End

The kids start school on Aug 23.
Until then the fun doesn't stop.
The sleepover with the cousins included swimming,
painting magnets,
and "school". Emry got to be the teacher for a while.
He held up letter cards and they called out the letters.
Emry was pretty excited about how he had organized his toys.
Squishy face.
Waiting for his turn at swimming lessons.
The big kids had to tread water for 10 min. This was at the beginning.
By the end only their noses were above water.

Making clay cake slices.

Maren made a little penguin.
Emry made a robot.
We went to wish Pop a happy 88th birthday! He was very sleepy.
Guess which book captured all of the boy's attention?
Poop Detectives
(about how dogs use their noses)
Playing "Marco Polo" with Grandma
Emry turns 4 on Sept. 8.
He got an early birthday present.
We went to visit our sweet Canova.
She gave the girls some porcelain dolls which they will treasure.

Summer Days

We had a fun trip to San Antonio with a stop at the Doseum
which is the children's museum there.
Emry spent most of his time with these blocks.
He had his concentration tongue out.
Maren went to Ohio.
More building.
We had such good food on our trip we already want to go back.
The cousins got to spend one night together in our Airbnb.
The Lick ice cream shop at the Pearl Brewery was so good we went twice.
Bubbles while waiting for swimming lessons.
Here they are practicing what they should do if they fall out of a boat.
Hang on to each other until help comes.

Minnesota and Beyond

Starting from present and going back in time,
July 4th was a blast with fireworks at PG.
Aubrey and Grandma and Grandpa came from Ohio!
Evren and Emry wanted to share her coat for the rain.
Fun times at the mall.
Mr. Evren
First time to have GF cones with their DF ice cream. It was a hit!
When you've never had real ice cream, DF is incredible.
Swinging in the back yard.
Emry called this "Daddy and Me"
So much concentration here. The tongue really helps.
We love art!
If the boys ask for a pet hotel for their stuffed pets, these girls are on the job.
It came with a swing and a slide.
The Tool Man fixing his bike.
We went to Minnesota for a week to visit relatives!
Grandma, Grandpa, and my sister and her children went with us.
Had to have White Castle. It reminds me of my uncle.

In MN, they play Duck, Duck, Gray Duck instead of Duck, Duck, Goose.
Soo tired.
Meeting with the Ramsdens.
My mom Kathy, aunt Kimmy, and uncle Bobby.
It was so good to see everyone!
My cousin Hannah. This thing was hard to move with all these kiddos on it!
Hannah was such a good sport.
We got to hang out with the Waldos at the Mall of America. So much fun!
My cousin Eric. So much fun catching up with him.
Painting at the children's museum in Minneapolis.
Breakfast at the hotel with Grandma and Grandpa.
