The twins are 10!

Maren and Maven turned 10 on May 17. They celebrated all week with a visit to Potteryland Studio with some friends and a joint party with their cousin Katelyn.

The joint party was at Katelyn's house and Salena made a 

wedding birthday cake at Katelyn's request with hearts and donuts on it.

Our friend Tiffany joined us.

Evren's first time playing basketball is going to be hard to beat. 

His team (named Thunder) won the championship with 1 loss during the season.

Emry completed K4.

Evren completed 2nd grade and the girls completed 3rd.

Mrs. Rios was the Teacher's Helper in Emry's class this year. 

She was a wonderful help to Emry.

Mrs. Land was his teacher for K4.

These two find all different ways to play.

Emry knows how to relax while waiting for swimming lessons to start.

Swimming lessons are going well this summer.

They each got their own beanbag and now they want to sleep on them.

Springtime Fun

We went to Galveston for a few days during Spring Break.

It was a bit chilly with the wind, but the kids enjoyed the beach.

Maren used the sand to keep warm.

Emry was excited about his foot-long corn dog at the Houston Rodeo.

Evren made a turtle with a beard.

The girls made a turtle with a rainbow on top.

Evren started basketball so he needed a proper basketball hoop.

He has two of his classmates on his team. He is super excited.

Emry has been asking for a birdhouse to paint. 

He calls it a "bird hive".

The girls continue to enjoy their horse riding lessons.

They practice controlling the horse by walking them around 

barrels like the barrel racers do.

We went to see Pop, and although he doesn't look it, 

he was awake and alert. He has since had pneumonia. 

Katelyn and Dylan spent the night and they had fun painting.

Emry got a crayon tip stuck in his ear and had to have the doctor flush it out.

Evren turned 8! He started his day with donuts at school.

Evren and the girls had friends over for a playdate after school

 on Evren's birthday. He picked blueberry muffins for his "birthday cake".

Evren got some lazer tag guns for his birthday.

Everyone joined in for lazer tag, bowling, and arcade games.

The girls had to write a book report on a shirt and Emry

got to go to the Children's Museum for a field trip.

 

A New Year

We have found a new use for the rope from the swing.

We finally got all of the Newman family together to exchange Xmas gifts.
